CNBLUE‘s Kang Minhyuk who is currently more active as an actor, has confirmed his first work after being discharged from the military. He has signed on with KAKAO M‘s original digital drama, Not Yet Thirty (working title).
On the 11th of August, his agency, FNC Entertainment, confirmed the news. The drama, Not Yet Thirty, is centered around women that have just turned 30, and how they balance their career and love lives. It will be about a webtoon artist, Seo Ji Won, who meets with her first love from her middle school days, Lee Seung Yoo, who becomes her publisher.
Kang Minhyuk will naturally be playing the role of Lee Seung Yoo, who is in-charge of Seo Ji Won’s webtoon publishing and planning. He is said to be both capable and handsome, and is a guy that possesses a warm smile that causes many females to fall for him. Seo Ji Won will be played by actress Jeong In Sun.
This is Kang Minhyuk’s first leading role in a romantic comedy, setting up high expectations for him. He has also turned 30 (Korean age) this year, making the drama all the more apt in casting for the actor.
The drama will be aired via the new streaming platform by Kakao M, and will consist of 20 minute short episodes, with a total of 15 episodes. Other dramas that have been slated to air on Netflix’s new domestic rival, can be read about here.
